Privacy policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

This policy covers the Mimic browser extension and this website. Mimic is an independent project and is not operated by THISDL or Schoolis.

Schoolis data used by the extension

When you connect and load grades, Mimic uses your existing Schoolis sign-in session to read data from thisdlstu.schoolis.cn. It may process:

  • Your name, username, and student or account identifiers, to identify the source account and keep projects separate. The account ID is converted to a local hash; saved projects may include that hash, your name, and your username.
  • Courses, assignments, exams, scores, grading categories and weights, score mappings, and GPA, to display and calculate your results.
  • Your simulated scores, scenarios, change history, and project metadata, to provide local planning and restore saved work.

Mimic does not extract or save your password, session cookies, or login tokens. Your browser attaches its existing sign-in session to direct Schoolis requests.

Background connection checks

While you have a Schoolis tab open in a regular browser window, the extension checks the current sign-in about every five minutes, even if the Mimic interface is closed. It reads the current-student endpoint and temporarily processes the account ID, name, username, and authentication state to keep connection status current.

These checks do not periodically load your grades or semesters. Grade collection is triggered by your action in Mimic. Close your Schoolis tabs or disable the extension to stop these background checks.

Where extension data goes

The extension communicates directly with Schoolis over HTTPS. It does not send your Schoolis grades or login data to a developer-operated server.

Calculations and current project work take place in local memory while the extension page is open. Language and interface preferences are stored in browser local storage. If you use the legacy recovery feature, older records in Chrome's local extension storage may also be read.

When you save or export a project, its account labels, source course and task data, grades, simulations, and history are written to a file you choose. A .mimic file contains plain-text JSON and is not encrypted. Opening, copying, backing up, or sharing that file is under your control.

Use and sharing limits

Schoolis data is used to provide the extension's grade display, calculation, planning, and project-file features. It is not sold, used for advertising, used to determine creditworthiness or lending eligibility, or used for unrelated purposes.

Mimic's use of data received through its Chrome extension is limited to its stated user-facing features and follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

This website

This website has no analytics scripts, advertising, contact forms, or third-party embedded resources. It does not request your Schoolis login or read extension project data.

The site is hosted through Cloudflare. Serving and protecting the website involves processing request information such as IP addresses and HTTP metadata. Cloudflare may keep service or security logs under its own policies; this policy does not promise that the hosting platform keeps no logs. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Support email

If you email the developer, your email address and the contents you send are processed by the developer and the email service provider. Support messages are used to respond to your request and resolve the reported issue.

Please do not include passwords, login sessions, or grade project files. For support or to request deletion of support correspondence, email .

Your choices and deletion

You can stop loading Schoolis data, clear locally stored extension data or preferences, and remove the extension. Uninstalling does not delete project files that you saved elsewhere; delete those files and their copies yourself if you no longer want to keep them.

The developer does not receive your local projects through ordinary extension use and cannot delete files on your device. For questions about this policy or support correspondence, contact .
